Common questions
Why does a site show 403, 429 or no answer? Many sites block automated requests (bot protection from Cloudflare, Akamai and others). The redirects before that point are real; open the last URL in a browser to confirm it loads.
Why is a 302 flagged? 302 and 307 mean "temporary". For a permanent move (a migration, a renamed page) use 301 or 308 so search engines transfer the old URL's ranking to the new one.
What is a redirect chain? More than one redirect before the final page, for example http → https → www → new path. Each hop adds delay and some crawlers stop after a few. Redirect the old URL straight to the final URL.
Why does my browser show a different result? Sites can redirect by country, language, device or cookies. This checker requests from Frankfurt (EU) without cookies, as a desktop client named Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; RedirectChecker/0.1; +https://redirects.eralpbayraktar.com/support).
Can I block the checker? Yes: it only requests URLs a user asked for, and it identifies itself with the user agent above. Contact us if you want your site excluded.
